Guayaquil, Ecuador’s largest city and main commercial hub, has a tropical climate characterized by two distinct seasons. The rainy season typically runs from January to April, bringing warmer temperatures and higher humidity, while the dry season extends from June to November, offering milder weather and less rainfall. May and December are considered transitional months between these two periods.

What is the best time to visit?

Dry Season (June to November):
These months are generally considered the best time to visit Guayaquil. The weather is more comfortable, with lower humidity and less rainfall, making it ideal for outdoor activities, sightseeing, and exploring the city. Pleasant temperatures and clearer skies allow visitors to enjoy Guayaquil’s attractions and waterfront areas with greater ease and comfort.

Itinerary

DAY 01. Arrival in Guayaquil / Transfer to selected hotel.

DAY 02. City tour of Guayaquil: Seminario Park, Moorish Tower, Malecón 2000, Municipal Palace, Las Peñas neighborhood. PM: Visit to the Historical Park in Samborondón.

Guayaquil Historical Park

Experience the music, dance, and culture of Ecuador.

DAY 03. Full-day trip to Cuenca with a visit to El Cajas National Park. Lunch at Hostería Dos Chorreras. Return to Guayaquil in the evening. Overnight.

DAY 04. Departure at 8:30 AM to Decameron Punta Centinela, an all-inclusive resort on the Pacific coast (140 km from Guayaquil). Check-in estimated at 10:30 AM.

DAY 05. Full day at Decameron Punta Centinela. Overnight stay.

DAY 06. Breakfast and check-out. Visit to the cacao farm “El Castillo”. Transfer to the airport.
